Ever feel like there has to be more to life? Some reason why you're here - like you're meant to DO or BE something special?
I am NOT an extreme person. I'm not the "life of the party"...the risktaker, one who lives for a thrill. (Although I am learning that life can be very exciting when you're following the Lord and relying on Him.) I'm just a woman that God blessed with the incredible opportunity of working with Deaf people as a missionary. One of my goals is to aid and support the the other missionaries around me in reaching their goals and sharing our beliefs. My friends will tell you I'm pretty quiet...til you really get to know me. ;) But I know I have a purpose, and I'm learning that life can be lived to the "extreme" - from behind the scenes as well as out in front. There's a time for both.
To me, living the "extreme life in fuzzy slippers" simply means doing what you can. Taking advantage of every moment. Doing what you love to do in a way that touches a life. Using your skills and abilities to reach beyond yourself and meet a need. You don't have to be out front leading the brigade. Sometimes it's just sending a card, making a call, taking cookies to the neighbors, leaving a candy bar on a co-worker's desk. But sometimes it may mean being called upon to stand up in front of a group and share what God has done. Either way, there's a bazillion things that we can do everyday that makes a difference.
Hope you'll join me in following the path and the One that leads us to who we were meant to be.
