You've seen it on the news. You've read the articles, just like me. How many times have I heard of Christians, of spiritual leaders falling away? Changing their beliefs. Letting down their guard, giving in to temptation, and losing their ministry, their family, and their influence. It's sad. It hurts. It can be very discouraging. We're in shock. How could they do such a thing? We trusted them! They let us down!
Did you know even Solomon, wisest of all kings, failed? He married many wives, and they turned his heart from God. But here's the thing: have I been trusting and following them (mere humans) or God? And what do I do now? Just because they sinned doesn't mean I have a right to. It doesn't mean I can quit. If I do, that's a pretty good sign I was depending on the person instead of the Lord.

How about if we take our prayer life "extremely" - holding up other believers in prayer, asking God for protection, deliverance from temptation? If we do our part to support each other, maybe fewer people will fall prey to the devil's attacks.
What's it going to take to stop you? How are you going to finish?
